The method. I devised this method of making dots long ago. Basically to replace the french knot. And because dots are so useful. As a design element. As a texture. This stitch is more functional and useful to me. I value that more than traditional decoration.
Here is the original video from my Cloth to Cloth workshop so long ago. (now part of 101) Basically it is a variation on a back stitch. Over and over until it becomes as big as you need it to be.
