crayon on fabric

Blue_2 too silly to have a tutorial for crayon staining.  its that simple.
draw. short strokes away from you while holding the fabric works best.  its logical that more crayon gives more color.
wait. leave it on for a day or so. stains set over time.
Blue_3

iron. between paper napkins. from the back side. most of the color will come off on the front side.
iron again. with out the back napkin. ( always apply pressure and move back and forth.
iron again with out napkin from the front

Blue_5_1 wash. with soap. iron dry. and stitch maybe.

i can give advice, but it is always best to make decisions by experiencing things first hand.  crayon is a nice alternative because it yields a rustic fresh and soft  result. it is easy to play with it.  TIP you can go over the same area many times repeating the steps.  you can even go over existing stitching etc.   just play!!! after all that is what crayons are for.

Dirty_the ps- TIP it can also be a sub for tea staining.....

it seems i might be able to communicate something through cloth making. i hope so. this blog is a personal journey into gift giving and story cloth. one step at a time. and diversions along the way.
