quilting a little joy

Fairyhome_2 ...the first fairy is almost complete, stitched in place and ready for detailing. the garden  around her has developed a bit and some sketching has begun for more stitched detail. she needs hands and a heart, to be the keeper of hugs...and a song .
home is the opening in the fence that surrounds sunflower corner. with arms outstretched she has spanned the space between the fence posts. hovering on the edge of something.closing a gap.Fairy_home_2 she has become the garden gate. after all my planning, gate design was unnecessary here. i've named her joy. and although she fills this space well, i hear she is capable of shrinking down small enough to fit into a single moment. catch that one.

Wow, that turned out so great! It is such a perfect fit into where it is! Always amazing work!

She looked great when pictured all by herself but she's even more fabulous when we can her in context. Really love the way you've highlighted a few of the white lines in the checked fabric behind her.

Oh Jude,
I'm so happy to have stumbled upon your blog...I really enjoy this quilt. The fairy and all of it...is just brilliant and beautiful.

She is just gorgeous Jude, and looks very happy in her new home by the fence.
