making a difference
this one is no where near finished. the addition of many moons as a frame gives it a context of having been there from the beginning of time, which leads me to the feeling that it will always be there, so i have plenty of time to work on it. it is amazing what an edge can do.
after reading this post, i was thinking about what we do. i was thinking how being a mother changed me. and then i was thinking how a mother's love changes everything. i went on to reflecting on making things. i am thinking now that you need to do what you love....and love what you do. it will create a new world order....because the world is nurtured by who you are.
Happy Mother's day to You! Love how you used the flowers and leaves in this...and your thoughts on Motherhood.

This one is talking straight to me.
Your Mother's Day thoughts are poignant as well.

My own work is constantly inspired and motivated by the emotion I have experienced and continue to experience as a mother. It is a never ending source of stimulation and inspiration, leading to pieces that contain so much of me.

Your lovely piece makes me think of changing perspective. Up close a flower and a heart, from far away, life. Thank you for sharing what you love, it has given me much food for thought.

I think of edges differently because of you. Plus it is always fun to spot that magic black and white thread.

Hey Jude
Your post today made me think of this Rumi quote.
Linda in BC
"Let the beauty you love
Be what you do
There are hundreds of ways
To kneel and kiss the ground"
