it is almost june. it is warmer. the air is thick. he builds a table from leftover wood and a slab of old slate. and he talks about building some chairs. that would be nice.
mom spends a bit of time with sudoku. to keep her mind from drifting. she says.
and i realize that sudoku is a nine patch. oh ha! i think.
and i stitch. day and night intrigue me.
mostly i think about what defines us.
There have been some questions about my summer.
I will continue blogging. yes.
and yes, i am offering a whispering workshop to be released on june 15th. 21st Century Rags is a repeat of the contemporary woven boro workshop, expanding the cloth to cloth weaving concept and elaborating on the design mending concept for cloth construction. it covers woven and non woven boro style cloth making. this version is an audio enhanced video series presented in whispering format...which means you can sign up anytime and work on your own with the option of posting on SEW the student forum. access to materials is permanent.
and then, the very generously priced Magic Diaries, a gift really, where i slip into the real rhythm of my days. as they go. making cloth and talking to myself. a 6 month diary of cloth making which, i expect, might touch all things. and continue.
rhythm. defined as a movement marked by the regulated succession of strong and weak elements, or of opposite or different conditions. This, Whispering, Rhythm, is what i hope, will define me. thank you once again to all of you who continue to be my traveling companions.
