Second post today because I will be away from the blog for a few days and I am just loving this.
I love the eco print thing. Alas, I am really not the kind of person who loves leaf or flower prints, just the common sense of the process. I have been trying to find my own way here....with the question "where do I go with this to make it more my own?" and then, "what if I cut the plant material to shape?" Maybe you remember this... how we wander sometimes from our own ideas...., well any way I am back to it, after rethinking the process. Taking more control but using the natural color bundle concept.
This I can really work with. Hell yeah! I have found the direction. What do you think? I think it is more me, something I might carve my own style out of. These were done with red and yellow onion skins on silk. Photos taken after washing and drying. I have dozens more to unwrap. They have been waiting a long time. I will wait a bit more. But I am frothing at the mouth. Mad with the desire to keep going. Really, I have some chores to do . To be continued. See you later.
All my eco dye experiments have been inspired by the gentle vision of India Flint. Thank you India, for expanding my vision.
Have a good weekend.
