My son (the Boy) makes stuff out of wood.
Wood leftovers are his scraps of self.
Been meaning to talk to him more about that.
And Burning. Still at it.
Noticing the transformation the flames bring. The shape shift. More aware of that. How energy is produced by change. Note to self: becoming more by becoming less. And no, I don't usually use a hoop, but yes I will now and then because I have one and sometimes if a piece is thin and small it feels better. Process doesn't have rules really. It becomes how it goes. And that changes. I extended this piece a bit for several reasons but more about that later. I learned to take still photos with the man's manual camera. Let me work on the video today. So many settings, so many settings. But it is a very fine machine.
