The Spirit Cloth Shop Selling work is sporadic with me. For many years I did not sell at all. Most of what I was making was for my own pleasure, a learning period. And mostly I made gifts. The cloths were large, mostly blankets and for the amount of work put into them... well, selling would have been unrealistic.
Over time, with the encouragement of others, I began creating smaller work. From time to time I offer these in my main shop. Mostly unannounced and priced generously for sharing.
At the root of it all, I am a gift giver.
As of June 29th 2017 the shop is closed. Small works will be available through ThreadCrumbs.
The ThreadCrumbs shop is a supply shop. (now also on Instagram as Threadcrumbshop)
The shop itself is built on my personal dedication to rescuing, re-purposing and mending old scrap. Telling it's story, and finding these stray bits a new home in my work and the work of others. In a way I consider them little teaching cloths. It's about allowing them to be a part of creative voice and to become again useful. All the offerings are hand picked, soft and light, easy to stitch, friendly to the needle and thread and perfect for the kind of work I do. And maybe yours too! I've realized that finding materials that I work with is not always so easy these days. Cloth calls out to me for help. And so the idea was born.
The ThreadCrumbs shop is usually updated on Randomly. Wander by.
