I often use an odd shaped scrap as a foundation and a few odd scraps woven with a free form border. What if you make lots of them ? A whole color range...you could use them for a collage mosaic! A good way to use up odd scraps with weird shapes and edges. A nice portable mini travel project.
These are handy components for many projects, quilts, patches for old quilts or even clothing. They will come in handy for one of the construction methods I use. I can never have too many of these.
