the kitchen window applique lives in the same 9 block section as as the soup.... directly opposite the sunflower corner of the garden. the herb garden will be nearby. it will be a simple kitchen like little houses have. i am thinking wooden bowls, nice ceramic tea cups, homemade bread and some good fresh cheese. and WINE!
rain yesterday. that kind of rain that makes no sound but just creates a misty haze and a wonderful smell. when i was little i used to imagine i could hear things growing and each little plant had is own melody. spring was quite a symphony...and sometimes we used to laugh and say the rain hitting the patio outside sounded like "1000 people eating bananas".
the sun came out as i stitched the last raindrops, which of course encouraged the first sprouts of the season. and i am thinking of how wonderful the change of season is.
and listening is always a form of therapy. you slow down and forget yourself and let understanding happen. and...well...that fits. listen to the river...and that reminds me that i have had this thought before when i created some greeting cards....
the sounds of the earth are music.
