shisha mirrors from Emily. thank you, thank you, thank you. this is my first attempt at stitching these little Indian treasures, but it was easier than anticipated. i love the effect but will hold off using too many because i have no experience that tells me of their performance as a quilt element.
i've decided on a web of vines to tie this forest together, scribble and stitch in green, over-all as a final texture. i think this will give the center section some cohesiveness and color harmony.

it has been a very busy weekend, taking care of my parents, unpacking treasures from asia, (my son is back!).... and stitching in between. i have a backlog of blogging to do. more thinking blogger stuff and i have been tagged by Florence and i need to respond ..... but none of that till tomorrow. for now its just fabric and thread and sewing in the sunshine.
