The ring (early on focus) is a latent theme/symbol in this quilt. I have started to complete some of the partial rings that emerged as I was working. again i am using my contrasted magic stitch, this time the white done as a backstitch, instead of a running stitch because it gives a better bead. I've discovered if I do it really slowly I get to enjoy the ring in the stitch before it connects the dots....like a little moon fading into the horizon.
That contrast seam stitching from what if #31 is present here, accidental inspiration, but works well to define certain elements.
Probably in my more fearful days I would have ripped them out and fixed them. Now I love them and instead of imperfections they have become perfect accents for this seasonal ring.
The ties were placed when I matched the 2 sides... points of reference. I am leaving them in.
