stitching the return of clarity

the doodle for this wednesday is on cloth. it started as a sketch on a scrap that had machine embroidered stars and i figured i could work around them. an amazing scrap of indigo from acey, (check this out, i love this!)... was in my bag on that train that i am still commuting on for a bit longer....
i liked the way the white areas just kind of merged with the background, kind of like light breaking through the clouds. and that made me think about seeing the light. and how funny it is that clarity just seems to come and go. you would think that once you could see clearly you could retain that state of mind, but i just can't seem to hold on to it the way i would like to. and it is even stranger how i don't notice it slipping away until i have buried myself in a hole. so today i am noticing that my vision is clearer and i thought i would doodle on that for a while. i will probably have more to say about this tomorrow, when i am near a camera instead of a scanner...
