this winter was fairly severe and heavy flooding washed away a lot of our existing garden. we decided that was not such a bad thing and we have been out turning over new seed beds and shifting the landscape a bit. a lot of extra work but growing new things is on my mind.
....i have made the decision to try new things. yes, i am setting up shop at etsy just for the hell of it and also as alternative, i will be offering some things for sale here on the blog... i think i have some ideas that could keep it fun. and i have taken a leap again into the prospects of publishing and doing some workshops....all new to me , overwhelming a bit but i have decided to just dig in and see what gets uncovered.
that unusual rabbit is just about complete. and that closet story was really about being yourself, becoming more of what you are and celebrating that. unfolding and getting things out of storage and dusting them off. and the rabbit can be considered a symbol for taking that leap. that is one thing about snails...they don't do that....
i am celebrating "skitch skatching" with this one, an alternative quilting technique that has developed over the last year and has turned out to be my thing. (more on that later)
...you will also find me in print at Stampington. Art Quilting Studio is a new publication. the premier issue comes out june 1... and i will be what-iffing there!
try something new today. i am off to plant some more seeds.
