..... a quiet weekend trying to put things in perspective. a lot of
time by the shore, stitching and thinking. beach walking is a
delight. i always pick up some small treasure to remind me to look closer. and then to step back. to understand my small ideas about beginnings and endings.
....the new Art Quilting Studio by Stampington has been released. it is nice to find so many familiar names and to see the variety of styles all mixed together in such a fine showcase. Thank you to Jenny Doh and her staff for making it so easy for all of us to be part of this new vision she has to bring so much sharing together in one publication.
.....i guess i have finally outgrown the stress of being published but it is always a surprise to see myself in print. as i read my own article i realized how things have already changed since i wrote it. i wondered how might i seem to those who are reading about me for the first time. and what shape will i be taking in people's minds as i continue on my path?
....all but one piece featured in the article have been sold. a big thank you for that. the dot sampler is in my hands again, continuing. i already noticed that just letting it fold on itself has changed the pattern and encouraged some sort of new beginning. paths are almost never straight.
