...monday was our anniversary. # 8 even though we have been together for 24 years. another doodle, because it wednesday....a portrait of THE MAN i drew years ago.
i decided to let love's gamble go this month with the new moon so i am giving it a border. i backed it with an awesome (really) cotton silk ikat from exot and folded it up and over on 3 sides, leaving that deep blood red fringe on the last edge. i added the words Love is for the Lucky to complete the collaged border. just because i was in the mood. i like how this one has become less and less sweet with time and how it has become very folk art in my opinion. it has been stitched into a kind of richness that happens very slowly.
