before the storm started i played around with that heart fragment... because of the burned finger, i couldn't stitch much so i added some quilt weaving up top with some velvet and pinned some silk fringe on the bottom.
...and instead of magic thread, i played around with some engineered tearing on a checkerboard fabric, magic strips this time... ripping along the line on both sides of one box width... a ragged black and white line which i like very much.
i used the magic strip to create a heart shaped frame, pinning it in place and letting it cross at the bottom. i think it added some energy.
after the photo on the snow dusted deck, i picked it up and just loved that it left its impression behind. this one has gone beyond fragment and now measures about 8 x 10" . my finger feels better and i will be stitching everything in place on this small cloth tomorrow for sure.
