...yes, there was new snow on the ground today. but yesterday the sun was out and we cleaned the carpets in the old snow. the MAN remembers this method of carpet cleaning from his childhood in turkey. and they say the cold kills dust mites. we beat the carpets face down in the snow with a broom. and then we turned them over and covered them with clean snow, left them for a while and swept them off.
they are nice and shiny now. every trip to turkey means carpet shopping. it helps if you know the language.
later, i noticed my bird robe was needing a bit of mending. i now wear a moon, a famous glennis shibori moon, on my sleeve. the indigo on this robe is wearing to perfection.
