...it looks like it will rain that spring rain here for a few days. welcomed actually, it has been a bit dry here for april. i was out early, breathing in the fresh moisture. noticing how the water droplets manage to cling to the surface and edges of things. sometimes i just pause and wait to see when they will give in and roll off. i waited a long time. they didn't budge.
...i spent a bit of time looking at a little piece of cloth i just received from teresa. when i think of rain, i always remember her. her lifestyle. her connection to nature and how it affects her life and her art. she just recently started working with a natural batik technique she is calling eco wax. i picked up a piece in her new shop. just lovely, simple, with the sweet smell of gentle wax...
...i added some feathers. they seemed to fit there. now she and i seem to be closer. i like that. this one is for me.
...teresa also works with wool and silk. natural dyes and eco prints. i have a piece of her silk that i purchased a while ago. amazingly beautiful... i have silk on my mind. i need to make something with this one. teresa will be on my source page. i love her work, her generosity, her philosophy and her gentle way with the world.
