It is already late October and the odd weather patterns have kept things green here late into the season. It seems that the trees are thinning without turning color.
I am out in my shirt sleeves this morning (6 AM) to catch the first real color and a a tiny glimpse of the sea view that returns in winter. Tiny scraps of indigo through the trees.
I have just put some finishing touches on my giveaway for Cloth to Cloth 2. I call it "a slice of sky". I like that no matter how you slice it, it works.
The center is a turning star. And the eclipsed focus is so appropriate as a layered symbol here. Just evidence of how my techniques have started to overlap. How the seasons have overlapped. How interesting it is when one thing touches another in such a slow and deliberate way, and how that presents itself as a new point of view, how everything becomes more.
After several requests (thank you to those who have already signed up) , I have decided , although unplanned, to run this workshop one more time. Cloth to Cloth 3 is on sale now , but only through November 1st. And even though it will run into the holiday season, I am doing it just to have it overlap with a few other things in the works instead of "squeezing it in" . Just to get a view of how that can work. This will be a smaller, slower class for sure, because of timing, but the links to the class materials are permanent, so you can work through them any time. Perhaps I will work in a few holiday projects to spice it up. If you want to join in but need more info, just email me. Thank you all for making this Cloth to Cloth thing so fulfilling. The advanced class is being organized and will be on my new Cloth Whispering page which will pop up here soon enough along with some other adventures in cloth. (including a long overdue update on the magic cloth)
Enough words, !, the rest of my day will be devoted to catching up on some overdue post office trips. Never forget , underneath it all, I am still a snail....
