i am moving into a series of small items for the shop to carry me through the holidays into the new year.
it is easier for me to focus on smaller cloth at a time when so much is going on.
i like the book mats and thought i might do a series of "moon marks". because bookmarks are useful as place keepers and they might be nice as gifts and they are less expensive. a series of mini long cloths. the second series is secret santa. and that's a secret. for now. there has to be a little mystery in life.so november and december will be bookmat months in the shop.
and it just occurred to me that i could paint in detail on cloth with very strong walnut dye. this was done freehand, on gifted silk, thank you, and i went over it twice. but the ink i am brewing is getting thicker and darker so we'll see. i machine washed this twice with no color loss.
