It is hard to stay indoors these early spring days. The weather is like lemonade. Yesterday I settled for a few wilted early crocus blooms pressed to some old vintage cotton and a tin can for a short while. Just a short cook over the evening fire that gets set in the studio wood stove to warm the cool spring evenings. There were some bark bits in the soup liquid from a yard cleanup . Probably mostly oak. And a few avocado skins and pits and an old tea bag. Leftovers from lunch.
I have a stack of 4" almost squares ripped, soaked in soy milk and waiting. Just to record the garden days. As they come. Nothing too much. Just a little coloring of cloth leftover from a simpler time. All the same old cloth. A less random experiment. So I might learn more. Remember these days I feel so grateful for.
Soul-o went out on the deck for a few moments this morning, and turned around and came back in for breakfast. He didn't run. I am quite happy about that. I needed to know.
Scraps of spring continued here.
