Tuesday Nov 4. 8:00 AM A small fire. The only one today. It will be warm.
The unusual reverse in temperature combined with Grandma's clock that no longer moves, well, time seems to stand still on this November day.

More thoughts about time....................................
Season. I named it Into November. Noticed how the arrangement has become flower like.
Most of the day was spent outdoors. Autumn chores. It felt like September. That kind that was more like August. Late in the day I took a few more stitches.
And this morning, I pinned Into November over the center of the Magic cloth.
Where it is surrounded by the ring of vision I refer to as the serpent of days. It's a good place to look at it.
Before dark I completed the cutting back of plants still tall with bloom. As the leaves really begin to come down, it is best to have the garden trimmed so the leaves don't get too tangled which encourages insect nests. They easily blow over the hill if they are free. Here, drying blooms from oregano and japanese indigo. I love bringing any part of a season inside.
