Yesterday wood was stacked and we worked very hard.
I slept late and I feel lazy. It rained for a while and the sun came out and lit up the patch of tall fire grass in the front yard. And it became like a sun itself.
I just did it again. Without looking at the previous storming. Simple starting. It felt a bit like grade school.
I came away with a few things.
I stayed with little doodles. Not compositions just simple pictures. Little symbols. And I wrote in script, so I could feel the writing part. The connecting. And I realized it has been a while since I wrote in script. It even felt awkward. Like grade school. I made a note to self about that. How it has almost gone out of style to write. I'll do it more. I think the radiating is the most common way sun is symbolized. This is good. Because I associate sun with center. And I can develop this imagery along side an on going theme I have for holding center and vibrating outward. Yes. I have not connected sun to that before.
When I first ran this class it was more about composing work using sun moon and stars as a theme. I am thinking now, as I gather ideas once again that it might be a bit different for me this time. At least as I begin. I might just explore the ideas in some sort of sampler format. In some basic way. At this point I have a renewed interest in the language of personal symbols. How they are components of creative voice.
