The indigo dyed components I am creating these days are following a list of concepts that form a personal system of symbols and picture language. I'm making them into simple units. Building blocks. To continue and clarify the story connections.
I considered windows a while back in What If Diaries. And I have a lot of unfinished work here relating to that adventure.
This was my first doodle for that workshop. I always start by storming.
So there are loose dyed window patches here. And last night, this...
I built a small cabin around a window patch. Wondering if? it would still read as a home or a house without the classic addition of the triangle roof. I pinned it to some old something. Old somethings have become places to rest. And all of a sudden I felt Window Woman emerging. Maybe the keeper of home-sweet-home. A window as heart then.
Today the windows are closed. Already. Against heat and humidity and we hope we won't melt before this weather breaks. No AC here. Too many folks down by the sea so I think we will just squirt each other with the hose now and then. And pick wild raspberries. To celebrate our anniversary.
