It's almost too cool for comfort.
The season has turned early. As I've come to know season here.
The acorns are bigger than ever. On the ground in August?
She is ready to travel, although a piece like this is never really complete. Because a woman is always changing more or less. In sympathy with what's needed she transforms. Her work is never done. There is a bit of indigo dipped velvet from Mom's wedding dress in the corners and on the edge. Many more stitches were taken yet many don't show. The layers have melted together. I call her Home Body. But she will have a new name where she's off to. She's a gift. A woman is that really. Even when it is unspoken.
