Nine works so well for framing.
Because it has a center.
This is the format I have used for a lot of the small pieces in the Sanity Series. In fact anything I put in this format immediately brings clarity of a sort.
It's like a cloth framing exercise. A Mat.
How striking this one looks now. Yet it redefines the Gallery Thing in a way, doesn't it? In the context of framing...softer, do you like it? I'm working toward a showing.

Sunshine on my shoulders...
makes me happy. Dad loved that song, I loved him. We both agreed on sunshine. His birthday would have been any day now.
His mother, grandma May, crocheted the hanger cover.
I'll stitch the sun patch to the shoulder of the Bird Robe. And maybe another on the other side. And speaking of birds, the geese came back.
Note: Some Free Classes will be password protected for a week while I finalize the Feel Free site. The move should be complete by April 1. I apologize for the inconvenience.

It is how one thing might touch and then change another.
Which often begins with alignment. Being aware of that.
I'm mending the arrangement (that was on the wall yesterday) with stitch, as I imagine it might happen. Blurring and also defining edges.
But, how it might happen, a map for that. That has created the ninth star.
It's a bit like a Chinese character. The man has been studying those. Been encouraging me to join him. Picture language is so interesting. I do like the idea that a map for going might bring forms to personal symbols. I love my ninth star. It contains so much. I could write a book about it.
Feel Free will open on April 1st. Some call me the Cloth Whisperer. Others call me a Fool. Whatever, I'll draw my own map. And go.

My littler hand.
Found while cleaning out my parent's house. Which has been sold.
My brother and his husband, who have called it home for a bit, are relocating upstate.
The plaster broke, but ironically the cloth it is glued to holds it together.
The puzzle is how it might happen.
That's mighty big.

I have a new symbol. It's a map of how it might happen when it comes to nine.
I'll call it the ninth star.

Just beginning.
The first flakes on the lantern. Morning's blue light signals, yes, it's coming.
I had the hardest time taking a clear picture this morning. And while I was trying, the fire went out.
Maybe it's the low light. Or maybe, like this ragged sun, I'm worn out by the season's uncertainty. I'm not mending the patch. I'm working around it. Maybe with it. There is some thing to be said for seeing through things.
