Autumn is coming around.
The nights have been cooler. But have warmed up again. Warm enough.
Late but great, I am amazed that the tomatoes I did not plant have produced one of the best crops ever. Still dozens on the vine with time enough it seems, before a frost, to turn enough for ripening. Most of my energy went into soil building this year. What a difference. Mulching leaves begins soon, that will complete the 5 bins I have, plus help to put the garden to sleep. Some clearing on the edge of the forest will yield some wood chips I need to make the paths easier to maintain and discourage poison ivy, ticks, etc.
I remain focused on older work, clearing the walls and making space as I turn toward weave. Still, stitch is slow, and I give it the time it needs.
They say it will might be a very, very cold and snowy winter. We have more than enough wood piled and ready. But the porch roof, still waiting for repair. A heavy snow and I fear it just might collapse.
