Today I made this collage, which I like.
But really as these moons ( learned from Glennis)
spilled out onto the table, they
reminded me of stones.
Which reminded me to start sorting through the basket of stones
before applying them to the other side of Home.
And ... so... this morning, I did let
The gathering of cloth stones for the Magic Feather Project started back here. You might click the category for gathering stones at the foot of the post to see some others as well. If you missed all that.
I am also reminded today, how many moons have passed since I began this whole thing..

So I am back to words for today. With a few things to say. Because I have found my way. Across and through some things that have just been clouding my mind. Just sorting through life stuff and making adjustments. But when the mind clears, it is not so bad. I had too many things to do. So I have just begun to eliminate some of them. Spring cleaning a bit early maybe. Anyway. Mom is very old. I am OK. With a bit of patience, things fall into place. And place is redefined.
I received a few new stones for the Magic Feather Project. I know I have been away from that for a while. It was just that I didn't want to touch it while my mind was stuck in a negative place. I am back to it once again. But I have decided to hold off accepting any additional contributions until I can get my balance back completely. Besides I have so much to work with right now. Amazing really. Half done plans for a website devoted to this effort will get rolling soon. Until then, I will be blogging about it here. On Fridays. Again.
Thank you Saskia, for these wonderful stones. And for the real one that does indeed look like Was.
These 3 stones bring the total to 564! Wow.
So What else?
This little cloth, which seems to keep going in the background here. Whenever I have a moment. Well... 2 things. I thought today, what if I call it Earth Valentine? Because there is a story emerging and I think it fits. I will tell it when all the words have been gathered. And then I thought what if I hang it up for a bit? And morning gave it a wing.
What If (?) is the other thing. That thing that needs attention. Some explaining. I will talk more about it on Wednesday. Today I will simply wash the floor. Clear a path.

Two new stones. Reminding me of how I have wandered around this project for a while now. Thank you Felicia. For your gifts.
Enough circling. Back to it.

So yes, they are still coming.
Thank you to these Piecemakers... Ann, Coby, and Cindy.... Sorry it took so long to post these. I have really lost ground since the storm. I didn't realize how much it has all frazzled my brain. I am going to put a bit of a gap in the collecting process here. I will begin gathering feathers and stones again with the New Year. I need to catch my breath. Like a thought, it often goes unnoticed.

So on this Friday, after a difficult week, small, slow gifts have gathered, creating new peace here in the studio. New stones have arrived form afar for the Magic Feather Project. Gifts for children and gifts for me. Thank you Kathy, Mary and Vicki for your beautiful stones and support.
And a gift from Roz. Now a refuge for gazing. And a quiet place to gather stones as they arrive. A handmade basket made by the Tjanpi desert weavers of Australia. A home for weary traveling stones that wait for a new place on a welcoming cloth. Thank you Roz.
I have spent a quiet morning gathering myself as well. Ridding my mind of negative thoughts, preparing to pick up the cloth where I left off. I don't like to work on gifts unless my heart is clear.
I am almost done creating a separate space for this project , making it easier to follow along.
