Hello. Again.

The only picture I thought to take...

I stitched a bit on a cloth after returning home. Home? Mostly because I was too tired to sleep. You know.

Right now I am considering pillow.  I need a place to rest.  Some of the velvet from Mom's wedding dress is patched into this one. A soft spot.  She was always one to say relax, think positive and everything works out...

I'm talking about about that in class today.  Keeping at it...with thoughts of letting it move through...

And yes, I will continue with part 2. Maybe with a bit more space between patches.

You know pillows are a great way to watch cloth wear. I think this cloth needs some eyes. I know I need a few new ones.

Just Today

Soul-O. The magic cat. He sleeps there now. On a patchwork pillow. As close to me as he can be without actually being in the bed. I discourage that because he is an outside cat and there are often stray ticks looking for a free ride.

On the floor, my yoga mat from Woven Yogi. I roll right out of bed onto it. Greet the day. I posted it here, hanging between uses. Kristin is an old friend. I know her as just one of those people who has no agenda except to be the best she can be. I thank her for that.

I am still trying to transfer my links from PlaceKeeper. I have just added Woven Yogi to the Being Mindful in Business list which is now in the sidebar. Folks I know,trust..soften these hard days.

Sorting through old cloth today.

When sorting though old cloth, which I am doing, because it's an easy thing to do while waiting for spring, and it feels like I am staying close to cloth even when I am not stitching, I often make rainbows. Personal ones.

I'm floating.

Horrified by many things. Trying to figure out how to balance them.

The Last Garden

Summer. Things grow and bloom and shift. Change.

But not as usual.

Here he is with his I'm not sure about you posture.

Things are green and lush here. Yet they don't seem right. The garden looks great. Smells great. But I feel uneasy. Fruit and vegetables hang so heavy they pull the branches to the ground. Yet don't ripen. As if in defiance. And I feel out of sync with it all. Helpless and Strange. I can't help thinking maybe, yes, it IS time for me to leave. Leave it be.

I made this pillow years ago. Before the blog. The Secret Garden Pillow. I posted a pic over on Instagram the the day. There was  question about how I made this one. I think, since it was so long ago, I will simply make another. I can't help but imagine how different it might turn out. But I might get to show you a lot of the process it holds. It really was a sampler of things to come.

There really needs to ne a stray in there.

I have some stuff to finish up so I think it will be my August project. Maybe it might be a "stitch-a-long"? Secret Garden 2. Aka The Last Garden. Sometimes I name thoughts before they materialize. Because the dream is caught so easily. What would you name yours?
