Just a shadowy beginning to a winter's day. A winter self. Worn thin from a sad world. As it sometimes happens.
Snow over ice. Won't be above freezing for a while. The blues are settling in.
But then thin, always the opportunity, to become like a window. Or to lift off in the wind.
0 at dawn.
Photo play of course, but a little lost puzzle piece at the bottom of a basket brought back so many warm memories. A little bit of heart can go a long way. And I played with the photo just to try to express how it all made me feel.
That's what I do really, try to see if I can find a way to do that. A stray snow self I will call WHEN IT'S COLD. These seemingly silly little cloths. They can sometimes go even deeper than a more sophisticated form of expression. I think because, like a children's drawing they can move past agenda and catch you off guard, even in the making. And then the making brings new feelings.

The email feed service I tried to set up turned out to be a piece of crap. Not worth the ridiculous fees they were asking. I left the old one in place for now. As silly as it is.

I let her standing become a path.
With the help of an old sharpie which never seems to dry up. A vertical field that frames her. She might become one with the way. And even a mapmaker.
And then I embarked on a long journey.
Some full coverage embroidery. The slower stitch. Split back stitch, which I really call the tapestry stitch now. Here I am using the background weave of the cloth as a sketch, and I am stitching over it. Skitching (stitching over a sketch). Where as the figure has been skatched, patched over my own sketch.
My idea here, well, what if I frame a section of the chaos and transform it into some sort of secret garden way, a place touched by her spirit. Of going. Perhaps she is just listening to what it all has to tell her. The story, of how it might go.
This will take a long time so I can just know that and patiently enjoy the transformation. And I will use up a lot of the tangle in my thread nest. That feels good too. We can check in on her from time to time.
She is a lion.
And I suppose I feel comforted and ready to walk the walk.
I broke a tooth off over the holiday, and now I have to go, yes, in these awful times, to the dentist. Hey ho.
Fog. Help! Days and days without sun are difficult.
I can imagine the sun's return.
Imaginings are vital to survival.
This stray, from way back before and around when I moved here.
It was grey and foggy and strange and I was confused.
I'm going to work on this one while I figure out how. I have called this one Change is in the Air and Season will Change You. But I think, Sempathy for the Season, well I don't know. Not knowing enables imaginings.
I am not sure about those ears, although they do say Listen Up.
By breaking up the ground she stood on, her going, growing, was softened as if she re-formed in sympathy sempathy with something more liquid. Making for a more Peaceful Transition.
Sempathy is my new word. And I think it might be a new word. Derived from sympathy and empathy, a transitional word that combines me and all of you/everything in a new way. Sempathetic Evolution then.
I used a fragmention field here, on the bottom and have added that to my Spirit Cloth Language glossary over at Feel Free. This year I will be focusing on completing that glossary. Because I simply need to look at it as a whole.
