Maybe it's the reality of uprooting...
that has me reconsidering change as simply shift...
The thread that runs though it is a place-keeping device.
Solstice, Cloth, past and present, now future...like season, still has a sense of home in it.
I took the cloth of solstice past off the wall, realizing that by itself I could call it finished, but together with this new one, which is an old sun moon stars base, well together with this one it is just a step toward tomorrow. I love the similarities, consistencies and the differences. How the today cloth has a less structured grid. And how the circle holds it together.
How they could be connected physically, how they are connected even if not.
And then how both of them are loose patches, components of a lifetime of considering shift. Season.
On the lighter side, it's been raining for days. Maybe I'm just wishing for more than one sun.
Am I confused? You bet.
