It doesn't here.

There is no time here. Just Slower Cloth.

I have removed the date from the posts. That solves the problem for me, days without edges...although that would drive the man crazy, he is a numbers guy. Anyway, the feed is not working properly but it seems to publish by email eventually so I think, ok, stuff will be here, there, wherever, when it is there. ok.

Just the time it took.

Today? There was a moment of sunlight but the storminess has returned. It might be yesterday for you. But for me, just new indigo leaves.

I moved The Deep Pool of Thought to the wall next to the computer. So there might be some crossover while I type. It had been pinned over A Nest of Days.

I just wanted to look at it again. I asked myself if I should make it bigger. I didn't answer. 

Now, some time off, whatever that means. See you later...

It's all Just Floating Around.

Loose. Loose things.

Loose patches, loose faces, loose thoughts. Loose everything.

I said it, many times, it's all a patchwork, in perspective.

This activity, trying to catch it and put it, hold it together. Just to see, to share what we see.

I'm using October to put some stuff together. Put this place back together. I know I'm hopping from here to there, but still even that carves a path... gives form to the formless path of just going.

So just to say, today, that I think I may have fixed the email subscription for the blog thing.  I put it in the upper right hand corner on the blog. Please note that if you enter your email address, first make sure you typed it correctly. Then make sure you check your email for the confirmation email.  It should come to you fairly quickly. If you do not see it check your spam folder.  You must confirm your subscription. I always see many unconfirmed requests. Also, over time, emailed posts may end up in your spam folder, for whatever reason. Maybe a quirky word or two...unless you mark them not spam they will continue to go there. So if you suddenly stop receiving my mail after a while, do that check. So let's see, I think it will work.  If you are already subscribed you need not do that again.

I've also put a link to Free Enough Classes in the sidebar since Feel Free is down this month for mending. (I will add PatchWork in Perspective after Feel Free reopens since it is hosted there)

Nest of Days Goes as the Season

Outside. The ceremony I began so long ago. I hope that link worked. Things are wacky here.

I took the Nest Of Days cloth outside yesterday. For a snow wash and a lot of fresh air. I started it back at the other place and I wanted it to be part of here. 

This morning, 8 degrees, feels like -10. The earth is sleeping now. In its nest of days. And it looks like bigger snow and cold are coming soon. Going to stock up on food and settle in. 

I cannot post my audio or video or get much of anything to work consistently here. It's time to go. That is more easily said than done but I have begun the journey and I will Just Go. This place will be here for a while. I will disable comments which don't work for a lot of folks anyway. Maybe a few photos now and then. But the daily journey with cloth has officially moved to the Blog/Journal segment of Feel Free. Because I would like to continue, at least for now. You can remain subscribed here for the occasional LifeNote or not.  You can subscribe by email in the sidebar of Feel Free if you want to follow my creative journey in detail. Or if just pics are your thing, I will be on Instagram as well.

No Sun This Morning

January Pause

Typing a quick note. Did not expect to be here.

So the issue is rationed bandwidth which has no particular pattern so I never know when the upload speed will allow photos. That is not legal, but in these weird days I've grown used to these things. I will take the high road. I'm an old woman and I've seen a lot of things.  I cannot really sit here all day trying to post. So we are switching providers (which require some extra installation efforts and expense) and will have better service after the 25th of January. I will use the extra pause to settle myself. My January self seems more unsettled than my December self. Some how I've become undone once again. I will open update the shop with the New Moon and open Feel Free, which has it's own issues, on February 1st. 

There was snow on the Magnolia buds yesterday morn. They form, they wait, while I hope they make it. The sun came out later and all has melted away once again. 

I want to call these pocket cloths now. The pocket is such a personal place. I'll do some pocket storming. Be back with that when I can.
This one. I was going along and then suddenly it occurred to me. The Tendency to Bloom. We all have it. Maybe just a wish for us all to realize it. To know what kind of environment might encourage it. To understand how  sneaky poison can be.

 

Just to put something here...

Been Loving Deb's exploration in photo layering lately.

This morning real life provided it's own example.

This photo was taken in the mirror across from the bed, already a reflection. And the window on the wall is a layering of the light and shadow from the actual window. Over cloth. Cloth layers. Ha!

A fire this morning. A freeze.

No woodstove yet. So hard to get anyone to commit to any work around here. Strange culture really. Not in a bitching mood though, too much of that everywhere, so let it go. The fireplace insert (the fireplace is on a sunken level) has a blower. Keeps everything upstairs warm. Works quite well actually. Not a bad plan. Maybe I will save some money.

And the frost is on the parsley.

It's obvious that media will be an issue here. So I suppose I am now going to be more focused on returning to Feel Free as the teaching place. I will do a new post about everything. Over there. Soon. Let's just get through this year.

And so it Continues

The story.

The thing is, we are in it, wherever we are. Whatever form we take. 

Suddenly I have so much to say.

But I will wait.  I stitch. The feel of it is what I need. The feel of going. That little mirror helped a lot. 

Yes, there are comment issues here. No, I am not going to change anything, especially anything I have to pay for. Maybe at one point, just unthreaded comments, like simpler times. Maybe we will just have less to say. So for now, switching browsers to Microsoft Edge is working for me. Might work for you. I can see comments and reply to comments. Here, and on other Typepad Blogs. I will continue here, with the story and link to Feel Free when necessary, or just switch to blogging there if I need to.  I did a test post over there last night and it seems those already subscribed received the post as an email, so I know it will work when it needs to. So I am around. Here, There and Elsewhere. Just going. If you can't find me, just imagine NoWhere being just as good a place as any. Imagine something Peaceful. 

 

It's hard to know the big picture...

...probably because we never really get to see it.

Still we try to hold the sense of it. It doesn't make me feel small like it used to. I can just be part of it. Like a patch. It is easier to hold on to that these days. The Bigger Cloth.

I was simply exhausted yesterday. I slept early and I slept deep. Soul-o seemed to know, he stayed close.  This morning, after 4 tries, photos! 

The piece above, an unfinished small journey from the class with the same name.  I added and stitched the overlapping circles after asking myself "is a circle just the mother of all shift?" And I named it It's Just Time while working on it. Because that's it, not the thing, or the blog or the book or the anything. It's just time, the story. And all this shit is just part of it.  Be in it and share it or not.  What is it going to be?

I posted at Instagram this morning, trying to feel like it was the blog.  Very uneasy feeling, even though I post there a lot, it is not the same as I feel here. So I can share yes, I will continue to do that there, in case I cannot here. But I will struggle.  What else is there? 

I am tweaking Feel Free to become a back up blog. That will take a while.  I know TypePad is fading as they are now directing new sign ups to a WordPress server. They are struggling too. Maybe I will just choose to appreciate that. I fear less about losing anything here, I think the functionality will slip a bit but I can always reference the content and leave it here. Comments might be an issue, but I will just go and leave crumbs where you can find me if I lose you.  My heart IS in it. It was just a few hard days. For many more reasons than just this. We are all in the same big boat.
