Today has begun with a blush of excitement. I love the sudden warmth of a cold weather sunrise.
I went to bed early, so I rose very early. I wonder if the sunrise loves the sudden warmth of an early people rise.
The studio looked warm but it was cold, so I lit a fire and prepared a pot of oatmeal with bananas and raisins for the stove. A little grated apple, soy milk, wheatgerm and maple syrup and I was good to go.
Rocky stopped by to say goodnight. And welcomed a late night snack of extra oatmeal. He really liked the banana surprise.
I always notice that on cold mornings, in low light, I unconsciously seem to work with warmer colors. I have a lot of unfinished beasts around here and this one has just developed a sense of self preservation. He has a fire inside.
I will be posting a winner for the giveaway and some news about a few new workshops later today. But right now I will enjoy the priviledge of a slow start to my day. Always the best way to begin.
