the nature of an edge

i can't help but focus on edges more and more.  because they both define and defy definition at the same time. 

i am also on the edge of some sort of publishing. but still taking time to evaluate its form.

you might like this, i do, i would if i could.

sensing

 still thinking about sympathy.  as a kind of evolution.  compassion for  things outside yourself. our sense of place in the scheme of things.  considering local color for magic cloth 2.  been talking about that. whispering actually.  waiting for more acorns to fall.  wishing some walnuts trees grew here, but making do. working around that. and brown. a bit of earth magic. tweaking my own tradition of black and white. brown and white is nice. more human maybe.

i already know that next year will be the year of brown and white. among other things.

i have already named the second magic cloth.

Rings of Vision, that is what i will call it.

how about that?

i received a small gift , some vintage linens, from michelle, thank you.  and well she thought they might be machine stitched, but on closer inspection, no, hand embroidered. how about that?  the linen is thin yet still strong. linen is like that.

and with all my thoughts over at diaries about transformation... well the timing was right to think about ( what if?) making them into something, so i clustered them to form a center but i needed to use the backs of two of them to make that happen.  this works. a four patch, rotated to form a center.

i love the way they magically fit together, where the edges meet so casually and unevenly but still how they seem to fit together perfectly even though they don't meet up exactly. each edge slightly different from the next. organic puzzle pieces. like seasons.
