Once upon a Stray Cat

A story unfolded. I made myself a map.  

Maybe you remember Is.  Is showed up after Was  departed. 

This is an old picture, no new ones.

They looked so much alike. Spooky.  He, I assumed, was circling looking for a home,  and I tried to  attract his love.   But no.   Wild at heart,  he became as big as a bear.  Got through the awful winter. 

But I have now spotted her. HER! With Soul-o's sister.  THEY made it.   And so, now knowing that Is was  the daughter of Was and is Soul-o's Mother. And that makes him Was's grandson.  Whew.  Black and White yet tangled up in grey.   The father of all of this seems to be Jingles. A BIG black and white cat, with a home and a big bell around his neck.  We see him now and then but not lately.  He is as long as a train.

ISabelle then. (My grandmother's name)

I wonder how this season will go.

Jingles + Was = Is.  now IS...abelle.

Isabelle + Jingles(her father) = Soulo + his sister (and let's call her Who?).

Look at those eyes.

she is becoming green

She is missing parts but mother nature has helped her keep going.  Mended in green.  If you are a regular reader here, you know HER by now.


So much rain.  The garden transformed in my absence.



Sage has gone wild. A whole hill full.


The grapes need a fence.  Today's activity.



Gladiolas are new this year,  from Mom's garden. 

The sudden heat and moisture  caused the butter-crunch lettuce to bolt  too fast.   But there she Was.

I drew the face in so you could see how it seemed to me.

Almost Summer.  My days in the garden here are so few and precious now.  I am going to stay outside all day.

Gardening  is like stitching.

Hey

So I am back to words for today. With a few things to say.  Because  I have found my way.  Across and through some things  that have just  been clouding my mind.    Just sorting through life stuff and making adjustments.    But when the mind clears, it is not so bad.   I had too many things to do.  So I have just begun to eliminate  some of them.   Spring cleaning a bit early maybe.   Anyway.   Mom is very old.   I am OK.  With a bit of patience, things fall into place.  And place is redefined. 

I received a few new stones for the Magic Feather Project.  I know I have been away from that for a while.  It was just that I didn't want to touch it while my mind was stuck in a negative place.   I am back to it once again.   But I have decided to hold off  accepting any additional contributions  until I can get  my balance  back completely.   Besides  I have so much to work with right now.   Amazing really.    Half done plans for a website devoted to this effort   will get rolling  soon.    Until then, I will be blogging about it here.   On Fridays.  Again.

So What else?

This little cloth, which seems to keep going in the background here.  Whenever I have a moment.   Well... 2 things.  I thought today, what if I call it Earth Valentine?    Because there is a story emerging  and I think it fits.  I will tell it when all the words have been gathered.   And then I thought what if I hang it up for a bit?    And   morning gave it a wing.  

What If  (?) is the other thing.   That thing that needs attention.  Some explaining.  I will talk more about it on Wednesday.  Today I will simply wash the floor.  Clear a path.
