what if #99:patchwork with nap

.....i was thinking about the variation you might get by not matching the nap direction in a fabric. what if i try that with a cut corduroy, try mixing up the nap direction?. machine pieced quickly to see the effect. although it is not easy to see in the photo, there is a nice variation in color using the same fabric. i think patterns could be formed with careful planning. or just varying the direction will give a piece a nice soft color variation that might not be obvious but very interesting. what if i use regular corduroy or velvet....?
